We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. Modern art is what happens when painters stop looking at girls and persuade themselves they have a better idea.
i used several layers with different blending modes at different opacities, on every one adjusting colour balance/contrast/saturation. And burn/dodge tool to sharpen thinks up with contrast. Unfortunately there isn't much more i can tell you, for every image is a very different sequence. I usually play around until i get something. And this is a very poor example (lot of noise on the original image), if you start with a high quality image that usually means better results.
